Novak beat Jan-Lennard Struff 6-3 6-2 6-2 and reached the quarter finals of the French Open for the tenth consecutive time (all-time record).

Novak: “I am satisfied with my game. I reached quarter-finals, played as close to my best tennis on clay as I can be at the moment. I’m pleased with every aspect of my game. Everything’s coming together beautifully. I’m motivated to fight for the trophy, that’s why I’m here. But it’s still a long way to go.

Novak beat Salvatore Caruso 6-3 6-3 6-2 and reached the fourth round of the French Open on Saturday.

Novak: “Caruso was very motivated. I thought he stepped into the court having a clear game plan, attacking the ball from both the forehand and backhand. He was hitting his backhand very, very good, very solid. He actually pleasantly surprised me with his game. I had to change my tactics quite a bit throughout the match. Midway through the match I stepped it up a little bit and I took my game to a different level, which then resulted with an easier third set. It was a straight-sets win, but… it was tougher than the score indicated.
